In his two decades as head barman of the Londra Palace Venezia, Marino Lucchetti has built a reputation as one of Venice's finest interpreters of the lagoon city's deep-rooted cocktail culture. The Achille Spritz, made to a closely guarded recipe, is his personal variation on a great Venetian classic. He has won awards for his creative ways with the Dry Martini, is an expert on non-alcoholic 'innocent cocktails' and makes a seasonal Bellini that many aficionados consider to be the best in town. Recently renovated, the LPV Bar is a retro delight inspired by Venice's early 20th century Art Deco interiors. Elegant boiseries, terrazzo floors, lamps in hand-blown Murano glass and other sapient details create an ambience that sparkles like a glass of vintage champagne.
