The Biennale

The Venice Biennale was founded in 1895 and is considered one of the most prestigious cultural institutions in the world, at the cutting-edge of research and promotion of new trends in contemporary art. Its sites are mainly concentrated in the area of the Giardini and the Arsenale di Venezia, 10 to 15 minutes on foot from the Hotel Londra Palace, except for the Venice Film Festival, which takes place annually at the Venice Lido. The Biennale is organized into 6 sections:
